Mixtures

Section Purpose:

This documentation describes what mixtures are, what properties they have, and how to manage their list in the system. This allows users to efficiently browse, add, edit, and import/export mixtures used in formulas.

Each mixture has the following properties:

• Name – official mixture name.
• Peripheral Administration – whether the mixture can be administered peripherally (yes/no).
• Central Administration – whether the mixture can be administered centrally (yes/no).
• Volume – mixture volume.
• Total Calories – total calories in the mixture.
• Non-Protein Calories – calories from sources other than protein.
• Osmolarity – mixture osmolarity.
• kcal per gram of nitrogen – kilocalories per gram of nitrogen.
• Amino Acid Supply – amino acid amount in the mixture.
• Nitrogen Supply – nitrogen amount in the mixture.
• Fat Supply – fat amount in the mixture.
• Glucose Supply – glucose amount in the mixture.
• Potassium – default dose and maximum potassium dose.
• Magnesium – default dose and maximum magnesium dose.
• Calcium – default dose and maximum calcium dose.
• Phosphates – default dose and maximum phosphate dose.
• Sodium – default dose and maximum sodium dose.
• Vitamin Sets – ingredients from given group, default dose and maximum dose.
• Trace Elements – ingredients from given group, default dose and maximum dose.
• Immunomodulating Ingredients – ingredients from given group, default dose and maximum dose.
• Vitamins – ingredients from given group, default dose and maximum dose.

Import and Export of Mixtures

The system enables importing and exporting mixtures in CSV format directly from the mixture table.

• CSV Import:
  • Use the “Import” button above the mixture table.
  • Select a CSV file containing mixture data according to the required template.
  • After confirming the file, new mixtures will be added to the system or updated if they already exist.
• CSV Export:
  • Use the “Export” button above the mixture table.
  • The system will generate a CSV file containing the current mixture list with their properties.

Tip

Before importing, it’s worth downloading a sample CSV file from the system to be sure of the correct data format.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can add and edit mixtures?

Only users with appropriate permissions (e.g., administrator or pharmacist) can manage mixtures.
